Ahmedabad to Modhera

Morning after breakfast, drive to Gandhinagar to visit places like:

Science City (Science Museum) is a science education and entertainment center located in Ahmedabad. It has an IMAX 3D theatre; exhibitions on science, space, energy park, life science park, planet earth, hall of science, musical fountain, thrill ride, plants, nature and robotics; an aquarium, an aviary and a butterfly park; as well as other facilities and later visit Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park.

Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park is regarded as India’s Jurrasic Park, it is run by the Gujarat Ecological Education and Research Foundation (GEER), and is one of the only two dinosaur museums in the country. The park consists of a zoo, massive skeletons of sea mammals like the blue whale, as well as a vast botanical garden, amphitheater, interpretation center, and camping facilities. It also has a Wilderness Park which is home to innumerable species of birds, reptiles, hundreds of nilgais, langurs and peafowls in its vast forest.

Later in late evening return back to Ahmedabad for an overnight stay at Hotel.

Morning start for Siddhpur visit the Temples in Matru Gaya and go to Patan visit the Rani ki Vav and Sahastralinga Talav. Rani ki Vav is an excellent example of the subterranean architecture of Gujarat. This vav was constructed by Udaymati, the queen of Bhimdev (1022-63 AD) and represents the finest of the Indian sculptures and architecture. Sahastralinga Talav is among the many artificial tanks built in different parts of Gujarat. The architecture of this tank integrated the great sense of water management and the sanctity of water in the Hindu religion. Later we drive to Modhera. Modhera is situated on the banks of the river Pushpavati and is about 50 kms from Patan. This place is known for the world-famous Sun temple and is the best example of the Solanki temple architecture in the state. After visiting the sun temple, we drive back to Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad it is important to visit some important places like Siddi Saiyyad Jali Masjid, Huthee Singh Jain Temple, Sarkhej Roza, stepping in to Dada Harirni Vav, River Front, Kankariya Lake (Close on Monday) and nearby places and drop at Ahmedabad Airport.
